About the festival
AFROFEST 2025
is an international festival of African culture, which is being held in Russia for the fifth time.
AFROFEST 2025
is Music, Food, Concert, Exhibition, Fashion Show, Master Classes and a lot of interesting things!
The international festival of African culture «AFROFEST» is organized, first of all, to expand cultural horizons, destroy stereotypes and views that have been formed over many years.
The purpose of the event is
to introduce Russian citizens to the history, customs and traditions of Africa.
Globally
the festival is an opportunity to develop cultural and business relations between Russia and Africa.
The result of such relations: the creation of new business structures, tourist destinations, student exchange, integration.

The International Festival of African Culture is held with the support of the Moscow Department of culture and the Embassies of african countries in Russia

I am happy to welcome you to our website dedicated to African culture and the promotion of Africa in Russia!
First of all, I would like to say that since the reign of the great Russian Tsar Peter the Great, Africans have lived in Russia. During the Soviet Union, foreign citizens, including those from Africa, came to Moscow and other major cities for education. And every year the number of African representatives staying in Russia increases. But, unfortunately, the culture of African peoples in Russia is not as popular as we would like it to be, and, moreover, not many people know about Africa.

As a representative of the African Diaspora
I see my task in promoting African culture in Russia and facilitating the process of Russia's integration into the African economic and social space.
It is for this purpose that the Autonomous non-profit organization for the development of cultural, educational, business and social relations "Africa House" was established, which today organizes "AFROFEST".

Why do I think this festival is so necessary?
And why is it important to participate in these kinds of events? The answer to these questions is simple! Culture is the basis of everything in any society. Civilized communication between people is built on culture. And only such communication can serve as a solid basis for business relations and connections. In other words, culture for society is like a foundation for a building!
Therefore, I urge everyone to take part in AFROFEST, to touch foreign customs and manners and discover such a distant but incredibly interesting Africa!

Cabral is one of the most experienced teachers in Moscow. He has been teaching kizomba for 10 years and has taught thousands of students. Cabral speaks excellent Russian and explains, he teaches classes according to a consistently thought out program, so the students feel the results.

Victoria has been teaching kizomba since 2013. She is known in Russia and abroad for her bright hypnotizing hip movements. She has collaborated and worked as a choreographer and dance blogger with internationally renowned Afro and kizomba musicians.

He is a professional musician and a bearer of West African musical culture. At the festival, Jagi's workshops will explore West African rhythms played on the djembe drum. Guests will also learn more about percussion accompaniment in the ensemble and hear how traditional rhythms influence modern styles of music (Afrobeat, Sukus, etc.)
